HVA PARTNERS WITH APN AS PREFERRED GPO

HVA PARTNERS WITH APN AS PREFERRED GPO

HVA strategically aligns with Alliance Purchasing Network (APN), a non-profit GPO that specifically serves post-acute, long-term care and senior living.

HVA is announcing a new partnership with APN to begin October 1, 2021 that will allow members to take advantage of savings, rebates and sharebacks. Members will have the opportunity to evaluate APN to determine if they align with their procurement needs.

In April 2021, Vizient/Provista acquired Intalere, HVA’s GPO partner; that relationship was terminated effective September 30, 2021. HVA has been evaluating other GPO opportunities since the original notification of the Intalere acquisition. HVA worked with APN earlier this year on several market baskets that showed significant savings. These market basket results and other factors, such as APN’s mission to support other non-profits and faith-based post-acute care providers, are key drivers for HVA solidifying its partnership with APN.

APN’s sole source model ensures members have access to the highest quality vendors related to products, customer service and price. As result of this model, members have more visibility when it comes to contracting and emerging technologies.

As a non-profit, APN is focused on ensuring that members are successful in achieving their goals and fulfilling their mission. They do this by using a lean model, selecting partners, not vendors, streamlining decision-making to benefit members, and creating custom contracts for members when and where needed.

HVA creates opportunities for members through strategic partnerships providing members access to a network of vetted contracts and reliable vendors. These strategic partnerships – like the new relationship with APN – focus on member growth, visibility, and ability to leverage aggregated spend. The results are improved cost savings, efficiency, and consistent pricing for all members.
